We’ll learn vocabulary related to hobbies, activities, and entertainment, allowing you to discuss your passions and interests in Spanish.

Theme: Hobbies and Free Time Goals:
- Expand vocabulary related to popular hobbies, sports, and leisure activities.
- Learn how to express likes and dislikes regarding free time activities.
- Discuss daily routines and how you spend your free time.
- Plan a weekend getaway or social event in Spanish.
- Engage in conversations about hobbies and shared interests.
Words & Phrases:
- Hobbies & Activities: leer (to read), escuchar música (to listen to music), ver películas (to watch movies), jugar (to play), bailar (to dance), cantar (to sing), hacer ejercicio (to exercise), cocinar (to cook), viajar (to travel), pasear (to go for a walk)
- Likes & Dislikes: Me gusta (I like), No me gusta (I don’t like), Me encanta (I love), Prefiero… (I prefer…), Odio (I hate)

Activities:

Free Time Schedule: Create a weekly schedule template in Spanish. Students can fill it in with their typical activities throughout the week, highlighting how they spend their free time.
Weekend Planning: Simulate planning a weekend getaway or social event in Spanish. Students can discuss options in groups, considering transportation, activities, and costs, all in Spanish.
Movie Review: Watch a short Spanish-language movie clip or trailer. Students write a brief review in Spanish, summarizing the plot and expressing their opinions.
Bonus: Research a popular sport or cultural activity in a Spanish-speaking country. Present your findings to the class in Spanish, explaining the rules, traditions, and cultural significance of the activity.
