Through May 15th, individuals from around the world can access diploma programs that add a distinct competitive edge to their professional profiles in an increasingly demanding global job market.
The Centre for Executive Education at the University for Peace (UPEACE), an institution established by the United Nations General Assembly, announces the opening of its 2026 Diploma Scholarship Program. This initiative is designed for emerging leaders, professionals, and changemakers committed to building a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.
The call offers a unique opportunity to access high-level education with global impact, enabling selected participants to pursue a diploma either fully funded or with significant financial support. In total, the Centre will award:
- 4 full scholarships for diploma programs
- 5 full scholarships for individual courses
- 35 partial scholarships for diploma programs
Participants may choose between two flagship programs: the Diploma in Social Innovation and the Global Leadership Diploma, both designed to develop practical skills, strategic thinking, and purpose-driven leadership.
Programs are delivered in an online or hybrid format, combining virtual courses with in-person experiences in San José, Costa Rica, offering flexibility to a diverse international community. All diploma programs are conducted in English and are open to applicants of all nationalities.
“In a time when the world faces increasingly complex challenges, we need leaders who can act with purpose and a global perspective. This scholarship program is designed precisely for that—to open doors for individuals already creating impact and provide them with the tools to amplify it,” said Julia Delafield, Director of the Centre for Executive Education at UPEACE.
The program is intended for individuals who are already contributing positively within their communities, organizations, or sectors, and who seek to strengthen their leadership and innovation capacities to scale their impact.
